Intensive Therapy Retreats

A chance to unplug, reflect, and reconnect in a supportive environment for individuals and couples.

Imagine having the time and space to really focus on you and your relationship.

faster progress

1-4 dedicated days of intensive therapy can provide the equivalent of months of weekly therapy. This means deeper progress in a shorter amount of time.

focused healing

A retreat allows you to focus completely on your healing journey. No distractions, no work or family obligations—just time to reflect, process, and grow.

personalized attention

Every individual is unique, and your therapy should reflect that. During our time together, I’ll customize the retreat to meet your specific goals and needs.

With a therapy intensive, we don’t just dip our toes into the work—we dive in, deeply and intentionally.

Without the usual start-stop of weekly sessions, you have more time to process, repair, and heal. Away from the usual demands of everyday life, you can take time to reflect, go for a nature walk, or get a massage. It’s an opportunity to unplug, reflect, and reconnect in a supportive, focused environment.

Choosing an intensive therapy retreat means you’re prioritizing your well-being in a way that’s efficient, effective, and deeply transformative.

An intensive retreat can help if you’re dealing with:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • PTSD and trauma recovery

  • Burnout or life transitions

  • Relationship & communication issues

  • Grief and loss

  • Self-esteem & self-worth struggles

  • Overwhelming stress

While retreats are transformative, they may not be suitable for everyone. In some cases, you may need to address certain challenges before engaging in an intensive with me. Your safety and well-being are my top priorities, and I will guide you in determining if a retreat is the right choice for you.

How it works

The space and time of an intensive retreat give us the opportunity to dig into the heart of the matter without interruptions.

    • A journal or notebook for your thoughts and reflections.

    • Comfortable clothing for both relaxation and light activity.

    • Medications or supplements you take regularly.

    • A list of goals, questions, or concerns to address during the retreat.

    • An open mind and a willingness to engage deeply in the healing process.

    • Commitment to follow-up work with me or your regular therapist post-retreat to integrate and maintain your progress.

  • Your retreat begins with a 20-minute consultation call where we’ll discuss your goals and ensure this model is the right fit for you. Together, we’ll determine the length and number of intensive sessions you may need, crafting a personalized plan that resonates with your unique journey.

I offer sessions ranging from 3 to 5 hours, with packages designed to suit your needs—whether that’s one day or up to four days of intensive therapy. Throughout our time together, you can expect a blend of talk therapy, Brainspotting, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy, all tailored to help you achieve deep healing.

To measure your progress and ensure you feel equipped to move forward, we can schedule an optional 50-minute post-intensive session. If you’re currently working with another therapist, I’m happy to collaborate with them to enhance your experience.

    • A detailed intake questionnaire to help guide our work together

    • An interactive workbook for use before, during, and after your retreat

    • A custom treatment plan tailored to your specific goals

    • A post-retreat session (optional) to reflect and integrate your experiences

    • Support and guidance throughout the entire retreat process.

This retreat isn’t just about therapy.

While your retreat is focused on healing, I encourage you to explore the beautiful Granite Bay area and its surroundings.

After your morning sessions, unwind with outdoor adventures like hiking at the scenic Johnny Cash Trail or paddleboarding on tranquil Lake Natoma. Treat yourself to delicious meals at local favorites like Dominick's and Farm Haus, or indulge in a wine-tasting experience at Casque Wines or Twin Rocks Winery. If you're in the mood for history, a quick drive will take you to the charming shops and eateries of Old Town Sacramento. Frequently asked questions

  • A Therapy Intensive is an accelerated form of therapy designed to help clients go deeper and get results faster. Instead of attending therapy one hour per week for a year, why not carve out a few days for Therapy Intensives? It’s a cutting-edge approach to help people feel better faster.

In fact, many people think of Therapy Intensives like a retreat. For those few days, you can unplug, take time off work, get a babysitter, or even stay in a hotel. This time is completely dedicated to you so you can focus on healing, reflecting, and reconnecting.

  • Therapy Intensives are perfect for people that are ready for relief now. If you’re ready to see things change in your life and your relationships but you don’t want to wait for that to happen next year - a Therapy Intensive may be right for you. If you have a specific topic, trauma, or stressor that you want support with - this can be the focus of your Therapy Intensive. • Yes! Couples who find themselves stuck in the same conflict patterns or feel like they never really reach resolutions are a great fit for intensives.

  • Therapy Intensives are more effective and efficient than normal 50-minute therapy sessions. Typically in a 50-minute session, there are at least 5-10 minutes of “check-in” at the start and usually, 5-10 minutes spent on “closing up” or “checking out” at the end of a session - Leaving only 30-40 minutes for deep therapeutic work. However, a 3-hour Therapy Intensive allows for 2.5 hours of depth work. That’s the equivalent of five 50-minute sessions or more than a month of therapy - in a single day!
