about me
Meet Audrey
Explore your past,
understand your present,
create your future.
Whether you are a hardworking adult living in a constant state of anxiety and unease, an entrepreneur feeling out of balance, a couple struggling to communicate, or the spouse of a law enforcement officer who feels caught between needing connection with your partner while also respecting their work...
This is a place for you.
I will meet you where you are today — wherever that may be — and help you shed light onto the patterns and beliefs that are holding you back from the life you deserve.
MY APPROACH
Clients describe me as both empathetic and challenging.
I am committed to showing up authentically — I’ll be honest about my own mistakes, bold when necessary, and always validating of your experiences and how they’ve impacted you. I am also comfortable with seemingly “uncomfortable” topics — sex, money, gender roles, whatever — while also welcoming the humor and joy that often arises on the journey self-discovery.
As your counselor, I’m also invested in my own growth. I don’t believe in asking my clients to go anywhere I have not gone myself, because I know how hard it can be to really commit to the therapeutic process. Fortunately, I also know that it’s worth it: that the hard work of counseling can result in true life change.
At the end of the day…
My goal is to help clients achieve a sense of steadiness in their lives: a confidence in themselves and their relationships that comes from knowing they can be “ok” in the face of life’s ups and downs.
Counseling is not just about making life better; hard times are inevitable. Instead, it’s about getting to the root of your challenges and equipping you with the skills and strength to know you can handle challenges as they come. Because once you get the deep, personalized support you need to heal and change yourself, everything else changes, too. This frees you from the need to be all things to all people and to make decisions that best align with the authentic life you deserve.
My guiding principles
CONGRUENCE
Our past experiences have influenced and programmed us for how we act, think, and feel today. By uncovering this programming and the purpose it serves in life, I help you deconstruct unhealthy patterns and build new ones.
Connection
Anxiety, communication breakdown, and discontentment are often the cause of areas of our life being out of balance. I aim to help you bring life back into harmony, guiding you to intentionality in what you do, why you do it, and where you put your energy.
Curiosity
Fostering a spirit of curiosity allows you to stop, assess, and decide how to approach a situation. You can learn to evaluate the narrative you are creating and to first seek to understand yourself and your partner before reacting.
As a white, heterosexual, cisgender, able-bodied woman and therapist, I recognize the privileges afforded to me by these aspects of my identity, as well as the societal structures that may influence my perspectives. While these privileges shape my understanding of the world, I also acknowledge the limitations of my lived experience in fully grasping the complex challenges faced by individuals from marginalized communities—whether due to race, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or other intersectional factors.
I am deeply committed to fostering a practice that prioritizes cultural humility, empathy, and safety for all individuals. This means actively engaging in ongoing education, unlearning biases, and expanding my understanding of systemic inequalities. My aim is to continuously challenge myself to be a better ally and advocate, ensuring that the space I hold for my clients is inclusive and supportive, no matter their identity or background.
I strive to create a therapeutic environment where all individuals feel seen, heard, and respected. I welcome clients of all races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, and backgrounds, and I am dedicated to meeting you where you are, with openness and compassion. Together, we can explore your unique experiences and work toward healing in a way that honors your identity and lived experience.
